Was on the hunt for some legit and super delicious Viet food, and was recommended this place. Menu seemed to be a combo of Viet and fusion dishes. The wait for this place is WILD. Definitely get on Yelp WL. Honestly feel like I wouldn't have had as nice of an impression if I had had to endure that 40+ min wait time. NO THANKS.
Ordered the following to share between 2:
Pork spring rolls - so yummy, and the crispy fried wontons inside added such a lovely crunchy texture and slight greasiness in a good way. The sauce was a delicious complement too. Perfect appetizer for two.
Turmeric fried fish with noodles - OMG my fave dish of the night. So unexpectedly unique and loved how there were so many components (rice noodles, lettuce wraps, peanuts for crunch, fish sauce), setting you up to assemble your perfect desired combos/bites. The fish comes on one of those hot plates (like fajitas) and was tender yet flavorful and delicious. 100 percent recommend.
Salmon clay pot (can't remember the specific name) - this was good, but neither memorable nor particularly special. I think I like salmon better when it's grilled (or raw in sushi) and has that amazing crispy exterior. This salmon was dense and nicely flavored from the sauce/broth, but the texture was just whatevers and uninteresting.
Garlic noodles with shrimp - not a huge fan of this type of dish, but bf loved it. Good portion and generous on the shrimp. Shrimp were large and cooked with skin on--garlic-y, crispy goodness. -

Awesome Vietnamese food in Garden Grove, definitely worth a detour. We were particularly big fans of the spicy garlic toothpick lamb, pomelo salad, and certainly of the crab (although that was pricier). Looking over the menu again is mouth watering and makes us want to get back here soon!
The Yelp-run waitlist was also super convenient! -

Oh. Em. Gee!!
My husband and 4 kids went during our Disneyland trip a few months ago.
We waited a good 45 min for a table on a busy weekend night but it was totally worth it.
*Tip: you can add your name to the list on yelp!
The service was good.
The prices were fair.
It lived up to its garlicky name!
Two dishes that stood out was the grilled scallops and the roasted garlic crab. Both dishes had so much flavor and nice presentation. We also ordered the papaya salad, spring rolls, shaking beef, garlic noodles, and chicken wings which were all slightly above average.
Overall we spent more than we would have for a nice dinner but we splurged as we wanted to try ALL the items haha
We will definitely be back when we're in socal again! -

So happy that this place uses the Yelp waitlist to shorten the wait. We had to wait a couple minutes after we arrived but they were quite quick to get us a table.
Glad we came with a group of 6 so that we were able to order more dishes to try. Everything was super tasty!
Fried salmon belly. The fish is super fatty, and fried to a golden brown crispy exterior. The sweet sauce they provide help balance the fattiness of the fish. Definitely meant for sharing as the fattiness can get pretty heavy after a while.
Toothpick lamb. While I'm not a lamb fan, this one was done quite well. Lamb was tender and not dry, and there wasn't too much gaminess taste.
Corn with dried shrimp was suprisingly flavorful and tasty.
Claypot catfish was tasty. The sauce wasn't overly sweet, as compared to other restaurants. The sauce definitely went well with the crispy pot rice that comes with it.
Shaken beef (regular not special version) is delicious! The beef is tender and perfectly cooked. And the sauce isn't overly sweet either.
Their signature crab had tons of garlic flavor as it was covered with garlic pieces. The crab was meaty and flavorful. We used our extra rice to mix in the crab brains and all the garlic on the plate.
Garlic noodles is a must order! Get a large size so everyone can share as it goes well with all their dishes.
Overall, definitely worth a visit. Service is quick and efficient.
Parking: Large lot shared with the strip mall. -

I got the pork chop with fried eggs and fries. The pork chop was the most tender pork chop I have ever had. It was so savory! The portion was perfect for one person too. Will definitely come back and try other things!
